About the event
Usually when we think of meditation or mindfulness, we think of sitting with our legs crossed and our eyes closed; but meditation and mindfulness simply mean being more aware of ourselves, more present to what is, more grounded in reality, rather than the 'movie' of the mind.
The workshop is focussed on Presence and Awareness - through movement. Gurdjieff Movements are a collection of dances, to piano music, created by the Armenian mystical teacher, George Gurdjieff, to build in us what he called, 'presence of being.'
In this workshop we will work on 5 or 6 of the dances. However, even though we will be spending the majority of our time learning Movements, this is not a dance workshop.
